Statistics Finland

Statistics Finland (Finnish: Tilastokeskus, Swedish: Statistikcentralen) is the national statistical institution in Finland, established in 1865 to serve as an information service and to provide statistics and expertise in the statistical sciences. The institution employs more than 1,000 experts from varying fields.

      DescriptionConcepts and definitions The prices are tax-inclusive averages weighted by the sales volumes of liable electricity retailers. On 1 January 1997, taxes on the energy sources of electricity generation were abandoned, while taxes and a precautionary stock fee on electricity consumption were taken into use. Average prices (c/KWh) include transmission and sales of electricity as well as all taxes valid at the time. T5-T10 Prices of electrical energy - enterprise and corporate clients. Prices are average prices weighted with sales volumes. The T5-T10 prices are based on the price inquiry on electric energy included in the producer price indices and transmission prices on data of the Energy Authority. The T5-T10 data providers are enterprises selling electricity to end users. Required power is not taken into account in the prices. Division into user groups is based on the user groups in the methodology used by the European Union to collect data on electricity prices.
