個人情報保護方針Progress Towards Europe 2020 Headline Targets: Greenhouse Gas Emissions
By 2013, emissions of greenhouse gases in the EU have fallen by 19.8%, compared with the levels in 1990. This marks a strong progress towards achieving the 2020 headline target of a 20% reduction. Since the early 1990s, the highest drop over the period of one year was recorded between 2008 and 2009, when emissions fell by 6.5%. This large decline in greenhouse gas emissions has mainly been attributed to weakened economic activities during the crisis in sectors such as industry, transport and energy. The mild winter of 2010/11 further contributed to the reduction of energy demand and emissions. In 2013 the level was only 0.2% away from the target.
