Quants & fundamental investors are using YouGov’s deep cache of brand health & sentiment survey data as an alternative data point and are finding alpha. In the US, YG tracks over 1700 brands daily, across 45 categories, many since 2007. Our data is clean, structured and available on the respondent level and mapped to Ticker & ISIN codes. With over 7M panel members, in 38 global markets, taking part in ten’s-of-thousands of interviews daily, YouGov is able to provide consistent and continuous data, available through a daily feed (API) with automated delivery meaning YouGov data is compatible with fundamental financial information and other sources of alternative data. YouGov is an AIM-listed, $150M data and analytics company collecting data since 2000. Our data covers thousands of the world’s biggest companies, including 179 of S&P 500 and nearly half of FTSE 100. In the US, we track 43 distinct markets. The 16 metrics we track daily include: • Brand awareness – Buzz, Awareness, Word of Mouth • Brand sentiment – whether consumers have heard positive/negative news about a brand • Purchase intent (including if current or lapsed customer)
