Financial Benchmarks India Private Limited (FBIL) has taken over from RBI, the computation and dissemination of reference rate for spot USD/INR and exchange rate of other major currencies with effect from July 10, 2018. Ratios for all fortnights since December 3, 2021 are adjusted for past reporting errors by select scheduled commercial banks (SCBs).  

Note:  Data is available according to census 2001 and census 2011. Census 2001 : Q1 2008 to Q2 2016 Census 2011 : Q3 2015 onwards

1) Notes of Rupee 1000 denomination were demonetized w.e.f. January 16, 1978 and subsequently re-introduced in 2000-01. 2) For the period from 1970-71 to 1974-75, the amount for Rupee 1 coins also includes various commemorative Ten Rupee coins. 3) Data for 1986-87 exclude figures from Kolkata. 4) Data from 1980-81 for small coins, include small coins of the denominations 1p, 2p, 3p and Anna Pie coins. 5) Data from 1980-81 onward for Rupee 1 coins Include Mahatma Gandhi Centenary, Ten Rupee silver coin, World Food Agricultural Organisation Commemorative, Ten Rupee silver coin and Independence Day Silver Jubilee Ten Rupee coin. 6) Data on Rupee 2 and Rupee 5 coins relates to coins minted. 7) Rupee 10 coins were introduced in 2009-10. 8) Notes of ₹ 2000 denomination were introduced in 2016-17. Notes: Financial Year 2016-2017, 2017-2018, 2018-19, 2019-20 is taken as 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020 Notes 2: 1) Data on repositories for the year 1978-79 includes figures for two repositories of nationalized banks, one each at Tamil Nadu and Delhi 1978-79. 2) Position for 2002-03 as on June 30, 2003. 3) For the year 2003 onwards position are as on end-December.

This dataset covers the following public data available at RBI website. 1. Index Number of Agricultural Production- Major Crops 2. Index Number of Area, Production and Yield of Food grains, Non-Food grains and All Crops in India Notes: Financial Year 2015-2016, 2016-2017 and 2017-2018 are taken as 2016, 2017, 2018 respectively.

Monthly data on services are provisional and would undergo revision when the Balance of Payments (BoP) data are released on a quarterly basis. The Reserve Bank releases monthly data on India’s international trade in services with a lag of around 45 days.
